All Tied Up (Reproduced with kind permission of Richard Haslem and Smithers-Oasis UK Ltd )
Everyone can do a rose and lily hand tied... it takes real skill to produce a glorious hand tied like this one from Richard Haslam. But while it looks incredibly complex, it's actually relatively easy to make and well worth practising so you can send your customer's mums something wickedly different.

Start constructing the framework by making a double thick circle of Strong Pink Aluminium Wire. Next form the handle by wrapping wire around the circle and taking the end length down. Repeat this process three more times to make a sturdy handle, ensuring all ends are tucked in well.
Bind two stems of Nerine together with Strong Pink Metallic Wire and insert through the centre of your frame. Curl Aspidistra Leaves and position around the stems and then thread three Calla Lilies through the leaves, gently tying them into place with Strong Pink Metallic Wire so that they flow and curve up the Nerine.
Recess groups of flowers to create a posy style base and add Calla Lilies and China Grass to achieve width and visual volume. Use Coral Fern to form a collar of foliage, emphasising it with extra Aspidistra Leaves. To finish, tease a small amount of Pink Angel Hair and bind it around the stems of the upright Nerine and over the base flowers. To finish wrap the stems with Aspidistra Leaves and more Pink Angel Hair, securing them into position with Pink Hat Pins.
